Rheinmetall Wins $1.2 Billion Contract for German Military Vehicles

By Aimee Look

Arms maker Rheinmetall said it clinched a contract with the German armed forces valued at more than $1 billion to boost the military's supply of logistics vehicles.

The military transport order encompasses more than 2,000 military vehicles. It is part of a broader framework contract concluded in 2024, which was for a total of 6,500 vehicles.

With a price tag of 1.015 billion euros ($1.18 billion), delivery is expected to start in the first half of the year. The vast majority of vehicles would be likely delivered before the end of 2026, it said.

Shares were up 2.2% at 12.60 euros in early morning European trading.
