Immunic Names Erik Lundgren Chief Executive

By Colin Kellaher

Immunic has hired Roche veteran Erik Lundgren to succeed co-founder Daniel Vitt as the biotechnology company's new chief executive.

Immunic on Wednesday said Lundgren, who most recently served as senior vice president of the commercial portfolio organization at Roche's Genentech unit, will take the helm of the New York company on June 1.

Lundgren, 48 years old, will receive an annual base salary of $685,000 and will be eligible for an annual bonus of at least 60% of his base pay, the company said.

Immunic, which previously said it had launched a search for a new CEO, said Vitt has resigned from the post but will retain responsibility for scientific strategy and portfolio advancement while remaining a member of the board.
