E.ON Confirms Guidance After Strong Start to Year
By Andrea Figueras
E.ON stuck to its full-year guidance, saying it started 2026 well despite challenging market conditions and geopolitical volatility.
The Germany-based electric utility company booked adjusted net profit--which excludes exceptional and other one-off items and is a company-preferred metric--of 1.34 billion euros ($1.57 billion) for the first quarter, 7% higher than in the same period a year prior.
Adjusted earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization climbed 2% to 3.3 billion euros.
The company said Wednesday that all three business divisions performed in line with expectations.
E.ON reiterated its targets for the year as a whole for adjusted Ebitda between 9.4 billion and 9.6 billion euros, and adjusted net profit between 2.7 billion and 2.9 billion euros. In 2025, adjusted Ebitda came in at 9.8 billion euros, with adjusted net profit of 3 billion euros.
It also confirmed its targets for the medium term through 2030.
The group invested 1.4 billion euros during the quarter to expand, modernize and digitalize its energy infrastructure and push growth.
