Finland's Kone Agrees to Buy German Rival TK Elevator in $34.4 Billion Deal

Finnish elevator maker Kone agreed to buy German rival TK Elevator in a deal valued at around 29.4 billion euros including debt, equivalent to $34.43 billion.
Under the deal, Kone would pay the consortium that owns TK Elevator around 5 billion euros in cash and up to 270 million newly issued Kone shares, which currently have a total value of around 15.2 billion euros.
