Axos to Acquire $3.2 Billion in IRA Accounts from Capital One

Bank holding company Axos Financial agreed to acquire individual retirement accounts with an aggregate $3.2 billion balance from larger lender Capital One.

Axos will receive cash equivalent to the balances of the IRA accounts, less an agreed premium. The acquisition is subject to the approval of banking regulator the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency and is expected to close later this year.
