Danone Sales Grow as U.S. Momentum Returns

Danone reported like-for-like sales growth for the first quarter and said it is starting to regain momentum in the U.S.

The French food company, which makes Activia yogurt and Evian water, reported like-for-like sales growth of 2.7% for the quarter. Volume increased 1.5% year-on-year, while pricing was up 1.2%. A company-compiled poll of analyst estimates expected like-for-like sales growth of 2.6%.

Danone's Stok product in the U.S. performed strongly, and coffee creamer products are improving, it said. Like-for-like sales growth in the Americas was 3.4%.

For 2026, Danone said it expects like-for-like sales growth of between 3% and 5%.

On a reported basis, sales for the first quarter fell to 6.67 billion euros ($7.83 billion), compared to 6.84 billion euros the year before.
