Context Therapeutics Shares Gain on FDA Fast Track Designation for Ovarian Cancer Drug
By Elias Schisgall
Shares of Context Therapeutics rose after the Food and Drug Administration moved to expedite its review of the biopharmaceutical company's treatment for ovarian cancer.
The stock climbed 8.7% to $2.88 midday Thursday. The stock has nearly doubled in value year to date.
The drug to receive Fast Track Designation, CTIM-76, is currently being evaluated in a Phase 1 trial to evaluate its safety and efficacy in patients with ovarian, endometrial, or testicular cancers, Context said.
The FDA's designation, which is designed to speed the development of treatments for serious conditions in areas of unmet need, applies to CTIM-76 for the treatment of platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
"This designation is an important step forward in our goal to quickly and efficiently advance CTIM-76 through clinical development and we look forward to sharing interim data for this program in June 2026," Context Chief Medical Officer Karen Chagin said.
