Lawmakers Signal UBS Capital Plan Will Be Watered Down, FT Says, Citing Sources

--Swiss lawmakers privately told senior UBS Group executives they would come up with a compromise to water down the government's plan to increase the bank's capital requirements, the Financial Times reports, citing unnamed sources.

--The terms of a new compromise solution haven't yet been decided, but a key parliamentary committee is expected to take over the process from May once the government finalizes its decision on how much capital UBS should set aside, the FT reports.

--UBS declined to comment to the FT.
