Pernod Ricard Mulls Approach for Brown-Forman, Bloomberg Says, Citing Sources

--French distiller Pernod Ricard is looking at acquiring Brown-Forman, the U.S. group behind Jack Daniel's whiskey and Diplomatico rum, Bloomberg reports, citing unnamed sources.

--The maker of Absolut vodka and Martell cognac has held some initial talks over the combination, Bloomberg reports.

--Neither company responded immediately to Bloomberg's requests for comment.
