Olaplex Shares Leap Premarket on Takeover by Henkel

Shares of Olaplex Holdings surged nearly 50% in premarket trading Thursday after the premium hair-care brand agreed to be acquired by German consumer-products company Henkel for about $1.4 billion.

Henkel is paying $2.06 a share in a cash for Olaplex, a 55% premium to Wednesday's closing price of $1.33 for the New York company.

The deal is slated to close as soon as the second half of 2026.

Olaplex shares were recently up almost 50% to $1.99 in premarket trading.
