Orange in Talks to Sell Media Services Business Globecast to Verdoso
By Aimee Look
Orange said it has entered into talks to sell its Globecast business to investment fund Verdoso.
The French telecommunications company on Wednesday said it signed an exclusivity agreement with Verdoso to potentially sell its media services business, Globecast.
An acquisition from Paris-headquartered Verdoso would give the business support for its next generation offers, and bolster Globecast's position in the shifting media services market, Orange said.
Orange said that employee representative bodies will be consulted and the transaction will potentially be completed by the end of 2026.
