AIA Group Value of New Business Rose in 2025, Plans $1.7 Billion New Share Buyback
By P.R. Venkat
AIA Group's new business value rose in 2025, supported by robust demand for insurance products in key markets, including Hong Kong and China.
The insurer's new-business value grew 15%, to $5.52 billion, while its new-business margin rose 3.6 percentage points, to 58.5%, the company said Thursday.
As part of its enhanced capital-management policy, AIA said the board has announced a new share buyback of $1.7 billion and an increase in the 2025 final dividend per share by 10%.
"Asia represents the most compelling growth opportunity for life and health insurance with powerful structural tailwinds driving sustainable demand for protection and long-term savings despite persistent geopolitical and macroeconomic uncertainty," AIA said.
