I-80 Gold Offering $200 Million in Convertible Notes to Help Fund Project Development

By Robb M. Stewart

I-80 Gold is selling $200 million of convertible bonds to help advance the miner's five gold projects, refurbish a processing plant and fund the expansion of its resource base.

The Nevada-focused gold producer said it is offering unsecured convertible senior notes due 2031. It expects to grant the initial purchasers of the notes an option to buy over a 20-day period up to an additional $30 million worth of notes in all.

In premarket trading in New York, i-80's shares were down 14% at $1.40. The stock last closed in Toronto at C$2.23, up 10% so far in 2026.

The interest rate, initial conversion rate and other terms of the notes will be determined by i-80 and the initial purchasers and will depend on market conditions, the company said. The offering remains subject to closing conditions, including approval by the Toronto Stock Exchange and NYSE American.

I-80 estimates it has the fifth largest gold mineral resource in Nevada, with a pipeline of projects at various stages of development.
