Prudential PLC 2025 Adjusted Operating Profit Rises
By P.R. Venkat
Prudential PLC's adjusted operating profit rose in 2025, supported by higher contributions from its asset-management business, Eastspring, and Bancassurance.
The insurance and investment company said Wednesday that its IFRS-adjusted operating profit was $3.31 billion, up from $3.13 billion a year earlier.
Bancassurance's new business profit rose 27% to $1.03 billion, and new business margins increased two percentage points to 42%.
"In 2026 we expect Prudential to continue to deliver double-digit growth across our three key metrics - new business profit, basic earnings per share based on adjusted operating profit and operating free surplus generated from in-force insurance and asset management business," the company said.
However, it warned that current global uncertainities, challenges and conflicts could have implications for the wider economic and market environment in which it operates.
The company declared a full-year dividend of $26.60 cents a share.
