Qualcomm Raises Dividend by 3.4%, Adds $20 Billion to Stock Buyback
By Colin Kellaher
Qualcomm's board has approved a 3.4% increased in the chip maker's quarterly dividend, to 92 cents a share from 89 cents, and a $20 billion boost to its share-repurchase program.
The new quarterly payout, equal to $3.68 a year, would represent an annual yield of about 2.84% based on Monday's closing price of $129.39, up from 2.75%.
The San Diego company on Tuesday said the increase is effective for dividends payable after March 26.
Qualcomm said the new buyback adds to the $15 billion repurchase program announced in November 2024 that has around $2.1 billion remaining.
Qualcomm, which had nearly 1.07 billion shares outstanding as of Feb. 2, sports a market capitalization topping $138 billion.
