Medtronic to Buy Scientia Vascular in $550 Million Deal
By Colin Kellaher
Medtronic has agreed to buy Scientia Vascular in a deal valued at $550 million that bolsters its neurovascular portfolio.
Medtronic on Tuesday said Scientia's portfolio of guidewires and catheters can be seamlessly integrated with its own suite of neurovascular products, strengthening its ability to support physicians across the full procedural workflow.
The Galway, Ireland-based medical-technology company said it expects to complete the acquisition, which includes undisclosed potential earn-out and milestone payments, in the first half of its 2027 fiscal year.
