Oracle, Salesforce Competition Ramps Up — Market Talk
Oracle's competition with Salesforce is heating up, Valoir analyst Rebecca Wettemann says. Oracle is developing more applications that go head-to-head with Salesforce's offerings, Wettemann says. Both companies are invested heavily in industry-specific solutions, helping customers standardize their artificial intelligence use through their frameworks, she says. During Oracle's analyst call, executives said its engineering teams have built three new applications focused on generating leads, orchestrating sales and automating selling. "These are three products that Salesforce.com does not have," co-CEO Mike Sicilia said. (katherine.hamilton@wsj.com)
