Telefonica Mulling Further Acquisitions, FT Says, Citing Interview
--Telefonica is looking for further takeovers of broadband providers in the U.K., as it seeks to boost the presence of Virgin Media O2, the Financial Times reports after an interview with CEO Marc Murtra.
--The Spanish company is focusing on the U.K., Spain, Germany and Brazil to pivot away from Latin America, according to the report.
--The move comes after Telefonica agreed to purchase broadband rival Netomnia in a 2 billion-pound deal, the FT reports.
