CriteriaCaixa Increases Naturgy Stake with $710 Million Share Purchase

Spanish investor CriteriaCaixa has bought an additional 2.5% stake in Naturgy for 611 million euros ($709.6 million), increasing its position as the largest shareholder in the natural-gas and electricity utility.
The investment arm of the Caixa Foundation said late Tuesday that it bought the shares after a BlackRock-owned fund sold its entire 11.4% stake.
The purchase takes CriteriaCaixa's holding in Naturgy to 28.5%.
