Chevron Ordered to Pause Production at Gas Field Offshore Israel
By Adam Whittaker
Chevron said it received an order from Israel's Ministry of Energy to temporarily shut-in production at its Leviathan gas field offshore Israel.
A spokesperson for the energy company said it received the order on Saturday. All personnel and facilities are safe, they added.
Elsewhere, onshore operations in the so-called Partitioned Neutral Zone between Kuwait and Saudi Arabia continue as normal, the spokesperson said.
Chevron said it continues to monitor the situation in the Middle East.
