Galaxy Entertainment's Profit, Core Earnings Rose in 2025

By Megan Cheah

Galaxy Entertainment Group reported higher net profit for 2025, buoyed by growth across its business segments.

Profit for the year ended December rose 22% to 10.7 billion Hong Kong dollars, equivalent to US$1.37 billion, the Hong Kong-based company said Thursday.

Revenue rose 13% to HK$49.2 billion.

Adjusted Ebitda, a measure of core earnings that excludes interest, taxes, and other one-off costs, climbed 19% to HK$14.5 billion.

The board of the company, which operates casinos in Macau, recommended a final dividend of HK$0.80 a share.

The group's balance sheet remains healthy and liquid, with cash and liquid investments of HK$36.3 billion, said Francis Lui, chair of Galaxy Entertainment.

This solid financial foundation, together with healthy cash flow from operations, lets the company return capital to shareholders, fund its development pipeline and pursue international expansion opportunities, he said.

The company remains confident that the Chinese government will support Macau through policies, and that the Macau government will sustain its focus on stable development and economic diversification.

Shares of Galaxy Entertainment Group fell 4.6% to HK$41.30 as at the midday break, before the announcement.
