OCBC Gains Bull on Solid Balance Sheet, Wealth Earnings Momentum — Market Talk

0316 GMT - Oversea-Chinese Banking Corp.'s solid balance sheet and earnings momentum in its wealth segment gain it a new bull at RHB Research. The Singapore lender's 4Q earnings grew on year thanks to robust noninterest income, while sector peers reported profit declines, RHB Research's Singapore team says in a note. The research team also likes the bank for its reasonable valuations and dividend yield, noting that OCBC is likely to return the unused portion of its share buyback plan to shareholders via special dividends. RHB Research raises its 2026 dividend per share estimate by 9.0% to factor in some capital-return dividends. It upgrades OCBC to buy from neutral and lifts the target price to S$23.45 from S$21.30. Shares rise 0.1% to S$21.42. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
