Ajinomoto Recalls a Trader Joe's Chicken-Fried-Rice Item Due to Glass Complaints

Ajinomoto Foods North America recalled a Trader Joe's chicken-fried-rice product due to the possible presence of glass, according to the Agriculture Department's Food Safety and Inspection Service.
The company notified FSIS of four consumer complaints regarding glass. There have been no confirmed reports of injury, FSIS said.
Ajinomoto Foods, part of Japan-based Ajinomoto Co., recalled about 3.37 million pounds of frozen chicken-fried-rice products overall. This includes an Ajinomoto-brand yakitori-chicken product sold only in Canada.
The products subject to recall bear establishment number P-18356 inside the USDA mark of inspection. The Trader Joe's product has best-by dates of 9/8/2026 through 11/17/2026. The yakitori-chicken item has best-before dates of 26 SE 09 through 26 NO 12.
Ajinomoto Foods North America's other consumer brands include Jose Ole, Ling Ling and Tai Pei. It also has multiple foodservice brands.
