Air Liquide Posts Higher Profit on Sales Growth in Gas, Services Business

Air Liquide posted a rise in full-year net profit, supported by strong momentum and higher revenue in its gas and services businesses.
The French industrial-gases company said Friday that net profit for 2025 rose by 6.4% on a reported basis to 3.52 billion euros ($4.14 billion), while revenue increased by 2% on a comparable basis to 26.94 billion euros.
All gas and services businesses--accounting for 97% of group sales--recorded sales growth to 26.09 billion euros, up 2% on year, it said.
Net profit was below expectations of 3.71 billion euros, while revenue slightly missed views of 27.01 billion euros, according to analysts' estimates provided by Visible Alpha.
The company's operating margin stood at 20.7% in 2025, up by 0.8 percentage points, excluding the energy impact.
For 2026, the Paris-based company remains confident in its ability to further increase its operating margin and to deliver recurring net profit growth at constant exchange rates, it said.
Air Liquide also expects operating margin to grow by a further 1 percentage point in 2027, it said.
The company proposed a dividend of 3.70 euros a share, up 12% on the previous year.
