Magnum Ice Cream's Profits Slip Despite Sales Growth

By Adam Whittaker

Magnum Ice Cream's profit slipped in 2025 despite organic sales and volume growth.

The ice-cream company--home to brands like Ben & Jerry's, Breyers, and Cornetto--was spun out of Unilever and began trading in Amsterdam in December.

It said Thursday that revenue was unchanged from the prior year at 7.9 billion euros ($9.38 billion), with organic sales growing 4.2% and volume increasing 1.5%.

Despite that growth, profitability fell. Net profit for the year came in at 293 million euros from 579 million euros. Adjusted earnings before interest taxes, depreciation and amortization fell to 1.255 billion euros from 1.34 billion euros--and the group's adjusted margin slipped by 1 percentage point to 15.9%.

Magnum said all regions grew in 2025, with key markets recording market share gains--including the U.S.

The company is targeting sales growth and higher profitability. It expects 3% to 5% organic sales growth in 2026, with an adjusted Ebitda margin improvement of between 40 basis points to 60 basis points.
