AbbVie 4Q Revenue Rises on Immunology Growth
By Nicholas G. Miller
AbbVie posted higher fourth-quarter revenue on the back of growth from its immunology portfolio.
The company reported net income of $1.82 billion, or $1.02 a share, compared with a loss of $22 million, or 2 cents a share, the year prior.
Adjusted earnings were $2.71 a share. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected $2.65 a share.
Net revenue rose 10% to $16.62 billion. Wall Street had expected $16.41 billion. Immunology revenue was up 18% at $8.63 billion, while neuroscience revenue climbed 18% to $2.96 billion.
AbbVie's immunology portfolio was led by arthritis and Crohn's disease drugs Skyrizi and Rinvoq, for which revenue rose 32.5% and 29.5% respectively. That offset a 26% decline for immune-disease therapy Humira, which is facing competition from cheaper copycats.
The company guided for 2026 adjusted earnings of $14.37 to $14.57 a share. Analysts see 2026 adjusted earnings of $14.27 a share.
