Huntington Ingalls Gets Spot on 10-Year, $25.4 Billion Defense Department Contract
By Elias Schisgall
Huntington Ingalls will be among 12 companies to compete on a $25.4 billion, multiple-award contract to provide engineering solutions for the Defense Department.
The military shipbuilding and defense technology company said Tuesday that its Mission Technologies division was selected as part of the 10-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract for the Defense Microelectronics Activity's Advanced Technology Support Program V.
The company said that the technology modernization contract will cover hardware and software solutions for maintaining and improving system operations and adapting to new threats.
"Delivering a trusted, assured supply of microelectronics directly impacts warfighter survivability, mission success and technological superiority at a time when secure chips shape battlefield advantage," Grant Hagen, who leads the Warfare Systems group at the Mission Technologies division, said.
"HII looks forward to applying more than two decades of engineering expertise to design and deploy next-generation microelectronics while sustaining systems with robust anti-obsolescence solutions," Hagen added.
