GEO Group Wins $121 Million ICE Contract for Skip-Tracing Services
By Adriano Marchese
GEO Group has secured a two-year contract worth up to $121 million to provide skip-tracing services to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, known as ICE, which involve verifying individuals' current and alternative addresses.
Skip-tracing services involve using available information and basic verification methods to confirm someone's current address and check for possible alternative locations for individuals on the federal government's non-detained docket.
The private corrections and detention services company said Monday that new contract has a term of two years, with an initial term of one year and an additional one-year period.
The contract became effective Dec. 16.
