Dina Powell McCormick Resigns From Meta's Board

By Katherine Hamilton

Dina Powell McCormick has resigned from the board of Meta Platforms, the company said in a Securities and Exchange Commission filing on Friday.

Powell submitted her resignation, which was effective immediately, on Dec. 19, the company said.

McCormick joined Meta's in April of this year along with Stripe co-founder and Chief Executive Patrick Collison.

Powell served as deputy national security advisor under President Trump's first administration. She also served under President George W. Bush as assistant to the president for presidential personnel and senior White House advisor.

She worked at Goldman Sachs for 16 years and was a partner at the firm. In 2023, she left Goldman to become president and head of global client services at BDT & MSD Partners.

In April, Chief Executive Mark Zuckerberg said McCormick would bring a perspective of advocating for economic development and supporting entrepreneurs.
