Accenture to Buy Majority Stake in DLB Associates
By Elias Schisgall
Accenture is acquiring a majority stake in DLB Associates, an artificial-intelligence data center engineering and consulting firm.
The global consultancy said Tuesday that it was buying a 65% stake in DLB, whose 620 employees will join Accenture's Industry X practice.
Accenture Chief Executive Officer Julie Sweet said the acquisition would help the company tackle infrastructure constraints on data center capacity.
"Along with DLB's deep expertise, Accenture will offer an end-to-end capability from the earliest stages of conceptual design and strategic site development through to advanced engineering, rapid deployment and operational performance," Sweet said.
The companies did not disclose the financial terms of the transaction.
