California to Sell $52.6 Million of Multifamily Housing Revenue Bonds

By Chris Wack

The California Municipal Finance Authority plans to sell $52.6 million of multifamily housing revenue bonds for a rental housing development in Los Angeles.

Proceeds from the Series 2025 bonds are expected to be loaned to 6033 De Soto LP to pay a portion of the costs of buying, constructing and equipping a 207-unit multifamily rental housing development, according to a document posted Tuesday on MuniOS.

The project, known as the Winslow, is located on a 1.47 acre site, and will include 159 parking spaces for resident use only. Common area improvements will include a fitness room, mail room, community room and interior courtyard.

Once the bonds are issued, construction is expected to be completed within 24 months.

Interest on the bonds will be payable starting on June 1, and then the following Dec. 1. Interest rates and yields have not yet been set. The bonds accumulate principle from 2028 through 2059.

The bonds are limited obligations of the authority.

The authority assists with the financing of economic development, public benefit, and charitable activities throughout California by issuing taxable and tax-exempt bonds.

Moody's assigned the bonds a rating of Aa1.

Lument Securities is the lead underwriter.
