SEMrush Shares Surge Premarket on Report of Takeover by Adobe

Shares of SEMrush Holdings took flight in premarket trading Wednesday after The Wall Street Journal reported that Adobe is closing in on a $1.9 billion deal to buy the software platform.
Adobe is set to pay $12 a share for SEMrush, nearly 78% above Tuesday's closing price of $6.76, The Journal reports, citing people familiar with the matter.
A deal could be finalized as soon as Wednesday.
SEMrush shares were recently up 70% to $11.52 in premarket trading.
