Okeanis Eco Tankers Raises Dividend 7%

Okeanis Eco Tankers said its board approved an increase of 7% to the company's quarterly cash dividend.

The new dividend of 75 cents per share, or $3 on an annual basis, will be payable on Dec. 11 to shareholders of record as of Dec. 1. The company added that dividends payable to common shares registered in the Euronext VPS will be paid in Norwegian Krone, and are expected to be distributed on or about Dec. 16.

Based on the company's closing share price of $35.86 on the New York Stock Exchange on Wednesday, the new dividend represents a yield of 8.3%.

In August, the company raised its dividend to 70 cents per share, after cutting it to 32 cents per share in May. In February, the dividend was reduced to 35 cents per share from 45 cents.
