Nebius, Meta Agree to $3 Billion AI-Infrastructure Deal — Update

By Nicholas G. Miller

Nebius agreed to a deal with Meta worth $3 billion over five years to deliver AI infrastructure.

The agreement marks the Dutch AI-infrastructure company's second deal with a hyperscaler in recent months after it agreed to a $17.4 billion pact with Microsoft for GPU-infrastructure capacity in September.

Nebius on Tuesday said it would deploy the capacity needed for the Meta contract over the next three months. It said the size of the contract was limited by the amount of capacity Nebius had available.

Cloud-computing infrastructure companies like Nebius and CoreWeave have seen surging demand from the AI industry, which needs huge amounts of computing power to train and run models. But demand is far outstripping supply, with AI-infrastructure capacity facing supply-chain bottlenecks.

On Monday, CoreWeave lowered its full-year revenue guidance due to capacity delays from a third-party data-center provider. CoreWeave shares fell 8.1% in premarket trading.

Nebius on Tuesday reported a third-quarter adjusted net loss of $100.4 million, compared with $39.7 million the year before.

Revenue rose to $146.1 million from $32.1 million the year prior. Analysts expected revenue of $155.1 million, according to FactSet.

Nebius shares were up 5.9% to $116.42 in premarket trading.
