iHeartMedia Stock Hits 2-Year High on Reported Netflix Licensing Talks

By Katherine Hamilton

iHeartMedia shares jumped after Bloomberg reported that Netflix is in talks to license its video podcasts.

The stock climbed 28% to $3.73 on Tuesday, and earlier in the session marked a two-year high. Shares are up 87% this year.

Shares began gaining Monday night after Bloomberg reported that Netflix is looking to exclusively offer the video podcasts, meaning they would no longer be uploaded to YouTube.

iHeartMedia distributes podcasts including "Stuff You Should Know," "Drama Queens" and "The Breakfast Club."

Netflix signed a similar deal with Spotify in October to bring some video podcasts to the platform exclusively. The episodes of those shows are slated to be removed from YouTube starting in 2026, though some Spotify shows are remaining on YouTube.

Netflix and iHeartMedia didn't immediately respond to a request for comment.
