California Housing Finance Agency Plans $134 Million Sale of Affordable Housing Revenue Bonds
By Josh Beckerman
The California Housing Finance Agency plans to sell $134 million of affordable housing revenue bonds that have been designated as sustainability bonds.
Proceeds from the 2025 Series B bonds will be used to refinance the agency's previous financing of six mortgage loans for six rental housing developments.
Retail order can be placed on Oct. 28 and institutional pricing will take place Oct. 29, with delivery expected in November, according to documents posted on MuniOS.
The sale will include serial bonds maturing from 2026 through 2037, and five term bonds with maturities ranging from 2040 through 2056. The largest of the term loans, at $65.3 million, is due in 2043.
Maturities will range from 2026 through 2056. The bonds are subject to optional redemption starting Feb. 1, 2034.
Moody's said Tuesday that it assigned an Aa2 rating. The CHFA's preliminary official statement indicated that a rating from S&P Global Ratings has yet to be assigned.
RBC Capital Markets is senior manager. Ramirez & Co. is also a lead manager, according to MuniOS.
