Healwell AI Shares Rise on AI-Platform Demonstration

Healwell AI shares advanced after the company said it demonstrated real-world examples of using artificial intelligence to generate high-quality data for a major pharmaceutical company.
Shares traded 3.6% higher at 1.43 Canadian dollars.
The Canadian healthcare-AI company on Tuesday said its Darwen AI platform showcased one of world's first examples of using AI to generate real-world data for supporting greater patient access, product advancement and reimbursement growth for the pharmaceutical industry.
The demonstration was done in collaboration with Takeda Pharmaceutical and presented data on dose escalation for vedolizumab, which treats Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis by targeting inflammation in the digestive tract.
"The real-world data generated provided evidence that demonstrated remission improvement outcomes," the Toronto company said, calling it "an important outcome to drive improved patient outcomes in a disease area that has significant population burden."
