Germany Orders 20 Eurofighters from Airbus, BAE Systems, Leonardo
By Cristina Gallardo
Airbus said Germany ordered 20 Eurofighter jets, which the French manufacturer makes together with European peers BAE Systems and Leonardo.
The aircraft are scheduled for delivery to the German Air Force between 2031 and 2034, Airbus said Wednesday. It didn't disclose financial terms of the order.
The jets come in addition to Germany's previous order for 38 Eurofighter aircraft.
The aerospace group is working on more modern fighter jets as part of the Future Combat Air System program.
