Heineken to Cut or Redesign 400 Corporate Roles in Strategic Pivot

By Aimee Look

Heineken is cutting or redesigning 400 corporate roles at its headquarters in Amsterdam, with the restructuring starting in 2026.

The Dutch brewer said Tuesday that the job cuts and shuffling of some roles will come in addition to 200 roles affected in its digital and technology department, which started its restructuring in 2024. The company employs more than 85,000 people globally.

Roles will be relocated to Heineken's business-services unit or cease to exist, the company said. The restructuring will simplify decision-making and position Heineken to take advantage of growth opportunities, it said.

"To stay ahead, we must accelerate our digital transformation and sharpen our focus on winning in the market," Heineken Chief Executive Dolf van den Brink said.

It said the restructuring is linked to a new five-year strategy named EverGreen 2030, an updated version of its 2025 strategy, that it is due to outline later this month.
