Amazon to Roll Out Pharmacy Kiosks in Its Doctor Offices
By Nicholas G. Miller
Amazon is rolling out pharmacy kiosks in select offices of its One Medical doctor service to allow patients to pick up prescriptions directly after their appointment.
Each kiosk will be stocked with a curated inventory of drugs based on the prescribing patterns of the particular doctor's office. Patients will be able to pick up from kiosks when they place their order in the Amazon app.
The kiosks will be available beginning in December at select offices in the greater Los Angeles area.
The company plans to expand the kiosks to other One Medical offices as well as other locations.
