Mirion Technologies Stock Rises on Expanded Notes, Shares Offerings
By Katherine Hamilton
Shares of Mirion Technologies rose after the company increased its notes offering and announced pricing for a public offering of shares.
The stock rose 11% to $23.71 on Friday. Shares are up 38% this year and hit a 52-week high earlier this week.
Mirion now plans to sell $325 million aggregate principal amount of 0% convertible senior notes due in 2031 in a private placement. That is an increase from the $250 million amount it announced earlier this week. Mirion also granted initial purchasers an option to buy up to an additional $50 million aggregate principal amount of notes.
Alongside the notes, Mirion is also offering about 17.3 million shares at $21.35 apiece. Underwriters have the option to purchase up to an additional 2.6 million shares.
Mirion estimates proceeds from the notes offering will be about $316.4 million and proceeds from the stock offering will be $356.2 million. It intends to use those proceeds to pay a $32.9 million cost of capped call transactions and fund its planned acquisition of WCI-Gigawatt Intermediate Holdco.
Both offerings are expected to close on Sept. 30.
