Opendoor Technologies Snags Shopify Operating Chief as CEO

Opendoor Technologies named Shopify Chief Operating Officer Kaz Nejatian as its new chief executive.

Nejatian joined Shopify in 2019 and served as chief financial officer since 2022.

Opendoor said Nejatian will help the online housing marketplace incorporate more artificial intelligence into its real estate platform.

Opendoor also appointed its co-founders Keith Rabois and Eric Wu to the board of directors effective immediately. Rabois will serve as chair.
