By Billy Gray

Beiersdorf appointed Pierre Kroening as its chief information officer, succeeding Annette Hamann.

Kroening is a 20-year veteran of the German consumer goods manufacturer, having previously worked in its IT, finance and strategy departments. In his new role, he will continue to drive Beiersdorf's digital transformation, the company said Wednesday.

He will also be managing director of Beiersdorf IT at Beiersdorf Shared Services, the group's tech and data subsidiary, it said. Hamann left the company following years of service.
