Heineken's Americas President Marc Busain to Step Down

By Andrea Figueras

Heineken said Marc Busain will leave the group in a month after ten years as president of the Americas region.

The Dutch brewer said Monday that Busain has been appointed as chief executive of Lipton teas and infusions. The group will announce a successor in due course.

His career at Heineken began in 1995, initially holding several roles in finance before transitioning into general management in 2003. Busain served as managing director in a number of countries, where he transformed the business and delivered strong results, the company said. In 2015, he was appointed president Americas and became a member of the executive team.

Busain has been a key contributor to Heineken's global success, the firm said. Under his leadership, the group expanded its footprint in the Americas region, which doubled its revenue, operating profit, and net profit. Both Mexico and Brazil emerged as significant profit contributors, playing a crucial role in the region's overall performance, it added.
