Shares of technology companies rose as momentum in one mega-cap firm continued.
Shares of Nvidia rose by more than 2%. The market capitalization of Nvidia has surged to $2.61 trillion, making it the world's third largest firm by that measure, after Apple and Microsoft, meaning that the chip maker is "now bigger than Germany," said analysts at research firm Redburn Atlantic.
