Honeywell to Invest $84 Million For Manufacturing Site Expansion
By Ben Glickman
Honeywell International will invest $84 million to expand an aerospace manufacturing site in Kansas.
The industrial conglomerate said on Friday the expansion to its Olathe, Kan., facility would add 156 jobs. Construction and installation of new equipment will create 268 temporary jobs, the company said.
Honeywell said the facility currently makes components for its avionics, safety and flight control systems and radio frequency systems for various uses.
The project "supports the company's alignment with the compelling megatrend of the future of aviation," Honeywell said.
