Aker Carbon Capture, MAN Energy Solutions to Collaborate in North America
By Dominic Chopping
Aker Carbon Capture has signed an agreement with MAN Energy Solutions to jointly pursue opportunities related to carbon capture, utilization and storage and carbon-dioxide compression in the North American market.
The memorandum of understanding will leverage MAN's expertise in compressor technology and system integration and Aker Carbon Capture's technology and carbon capture products, the company said on Tuesday.
"The adoption of standardized and modularized solutions will contribute to drive scale through cost-efficient developments with optimized energy consumption and delivery time," Aker Carbon Capture said in a statement.
The two companies are currently collaborating on delivering a carbon capture plant for the cement industry at Heidelberg Materials' Brevik carbon capture and storage project in Norway.
