Babcock International Gets Two Submarine Contracts Worth GBP121 Million

Babcock International Group has been awarded two submarine contracts worth 121 million pounds ($152.8 million) between them.

The defense company--a major contractor for the U.K. government--said Tuesday that it has been awarded a 4.5 year contract with the U.K.'s Ministry of Defence worth GBP66 million to provide assistance in the support solution development for the new Dreadnought Class submarines.

It has also been awarded a GBP55 million contract by BAE Systems for Weapon Handling and Launch System and Submerged Signal Ejector equipment for the Dreadnought Class.
