OMV to Supply Ryanair 500 Tons of Sustainable Aviation Fuel This Year
By Pierre Bertrand
OMV said that it has signed an agreement with Ryanair to supply 500 metric tons of sustainable aviation fuel at Vienna Airport.
The agreement calls for the supply of the fuel in 2023 and is part of a memorandum of understanding between the two companies signed last year, which enables Ryanair to purchase up to 160,000 tons of sustainable aviation fuel from OMV up to 2030.
The offtake agreement for 500 tons of sustainable aviation fuel will save more than 1,250 metric tons of CO2 emissions, the equivalent to about 100 Ryanair flights from Dublin to Vienna, OMV said.
