Sartorius Names Florian Funck as New CFO
By Andrea Figueras
Sartorius has named Florian Funck as chief financial officer, replacing Rainer Lehmann, who is leaving this fall.
The appointment is effective from April 1, 2024, the German life-sciences company said late Thursday.
Funck joins the company from his current role as CFO at Haniel Group, where he has been working for more than two decades, Sartorius said.
At Sartorius, Funck will be responsible for information technology and digitalization tasks in addition to finance.
Chief Executive Joachim Kreuzburg will assume these duties on an interim basis until Funck takes over, it said.
Earlier this year, Sartorius said current CFO Lehmann would be leaving in October to pursue a new opportunity outside the company. Lehmann joined Sartorius in 1999 and was appointed CFO in 2017.
